a fairly unproductive day

(layout made in February)
I had grand plans for today...was going to start on the Christmas cards, work on some gifts, organize my scrap space, read a little, grocery shop, clean the house, maybe even scrapbook...
Well, the house is clean, but that is pretty much all that I got done.

And it feels kind of good.

I have a really difficult time just stopping the million things I am usually doing to sit on the couch and decompress. There's always something to be done, right?
Especially this time of year.
But here I am, on the couch, watching a movie. And that's okay.

When I signed up for {Jessica Sprague}'s Holidays in Hand class we had to reflect upon and write about our goals for this holiday season. One of mine was to take time to relax and enjoy it. And by golly, I intend to stick to that.
So the grocery store can wait. The cards will be there tomorrow, and if I feel like it later, I might just organize some supplies or work on a layout.

We'll see.
Right now I am pretty cozy.

I haven't done a single crafty thing at all today...and it does feel good. I am taking that whole 'relax' thing seriously. Sounds like you are too! :-)

well done on relaxing! I too find it difficult not to be trying to do a million things all at once! I need to take a leaf out of your book, and chill every once in a while!

yes, some weekends I have a mile-long list of things that need to be accomplished, but end up ditching them all and just relaxing. sometimes it just needs to be done!

Very cute & fun layout! Sometimes chores can wait one more day!

Hope you enjoyed the movie! What I like best about Jessica's HIH is that I can move at my own pace!
