Let the Christmas (and whichever holiday you might celebrate!) begin!! That has been my attitude since I put the last bite of pecan pie into my mouth during Thanksgiving dinner. But alas, I have run into a dilemma and am humbly looking for input (please).
I have been so inspired by all of the great color combos I am seeing out there lately, especially the tiffany blue/aqua and red, like this...
...but I am having a harder time than I thought about breaking away from the traditional red and green theme. Perhaps it is because last Christmas we used red and green and it was the first one that mmb and I lived together so it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. Not sure.
What do you all do for decorating? Do you stick with traditional colors, vary them or do something entirely unique?

i love the red and aqua/tiffany blue...maybe b/c it's our wedding colors, well a little bit more turqoise but close enough;) you should go with what will make you and mmb happy and what you will look at everyday and say this is our home, whether it be red and blue, red and green, gold and silver, or florescent pink and lime green :)
Gorgeous color combo! We used to do traditional colors, but the last few years we've done black/white ornaments. And this year we added in a white tree with metallic ornaments. It feels every bit as Christmasy to us and we love it. If you want to play with colors, maybe you could get a mini tree for trendy colors and still do your full tree in traditional colors?
thank you ladies, very good advice from you both :-)
love that colour combo!
i'm definitely a fan of non-traditional colours when it comes to my own christmas decorating.
We could never change anything here. Paul loves tradition. I guess I do too. .
I like red & lime green, but I am really feeling this color combo! It would look great on a layout!
I love red and green.....especially with a bit of gold thrown in.
what did you decide on?
Yum, love the RS color combo! In some of my Christmas craftiness totally been drawing inspiration from it!
