december album, decided.

Well, the final decision has been made and ordered. No turning back now ;-)
After thinking about it (probably a little too much...) I decided to go with the Jovial Collection from Basic Grey.

What sold me on it was actually the description:
Snuggled in a flannel blanket by the glow of a fire, watching the snow falling through the frosted window, BasicGrey's Jovial collection is a warm celebration in white snow, velvet black, pomegranate, evergreen, and emberglow. A tapestry of holiday tradition---just like we always dreamed it could be.

Doesn't that just sound magical? It's almost as if BG had a tiny window into my thoughts about what I am hoping this winter will be!

I also picked up these date cards
Thanks for the link, Sharyn!

As well as these journaling cards.
I think these selections will help me keep it simple so I can still document our December with everything else going on. Speaking of which...as far as my album goes, I have decided to combine Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas with Tracey Clark's Picture the Holidays. I think marriage of these two very creative formats will help to create a unique album which we can treasure in the years to come.
I'm excited to experience and document our first holiday season in the house!

How about you? Are you documenting the holidays this year?

I am so sold on the Elle's Studio date cards, and I already have the BG Jovial collection pack! I still haven't decided what I'm actually going to use, though! Decisions, decisions!

Fab supplies! I do Shimelle's Journal your Christmas every year but this year I am combining it with December Daily from Ali Edwards. I've been quite good and restricted myself to buying only 1 new pack of papers (snow day from crate paper) the rest will be from my Christmas stash.

Cant wait to see more :)

Love your choices. I've used Basic Grey papers in two or three of my previous Christmas journals. This year I'm combining Ali E's December Daily, Picture the Holiday, and Journal Your Christmas. I figure one of the three has to be a motivator every day! I'm following Ali's format this year since I had a lot of transparencies that needed to be used up. I've purchased three or four to get enough, but just a couple of odd sheets of paper. I have a whole box of Christmas goodies I save from year to year, so I'm trying to use up my stash.

Hi Melissa, thanks for your comment. I am probably going to use the snow day papers mainly for my JYC then if I have any left over I will make some layouts too :)

Great choices!! I especially love those journaling cards. I just got my Elle's Studio date cards in the mail yesterday; they are great in person :)

I love that BG paper pack. I'm thinking about that Tracey C class for the holidays but not quite ready to take the plunge. I'll be anxious to see your photos - will you be posting them on your blog?

wow, what a great choice. those papers and the supplies look fantabulous.

I am still undecided as to starting a project for December or not...I love the idea of it but not sure I can finish it. Is this your first attempt? do you have any suggestions/hints?
